A scenic walk through one of Paris’ most beautiful parks.
I began by blocking in the basic shapes of the flowers and the bushes.
I completed the first layer of basic shapes.
I added more depth to the bushes and sketched out where I wanted to place the trees.
I finished the second layer of the bushes, focusing mainly on creating illusions of light that I had observed in the reference photo I took.
I added a little more dimension to the flowers as well as the trees.
I put more darkness into the bushes and began to add leaves to the trees.
Adding tiny details! This was the first time in this painting that I began to concern myself with the details of the leaves on the bushes. I also added some shadows to the flowers.
I worked on the details in the bushes...
...and then added more clarity to the leaves on the trees.
After finishing touches to fill in the leaves, detail the walkways, and add more depth to the bushes, here's the finished painting!
