The Hill, 2024
16” x 20” Oil on Wooden Panel
This is the view going down 15th Street towards Lamar Boulevard in Austin, Texas. This place, which I usually just referred to as “the hill”, was my favorite place to drive my moped, blast music, and feel the wind - sometimes with a friend, and other times, alone! I painted this scene to memorialize Texas, my home, before leaving to live abroad.
Retiro Park, 2024
16” x 20” Oil on Canvas
Madrid was one of my travel destinations during my semester abroad. A welcome sunny break from the cold winds of Paris, Retiro Park was incredibly beautiful and lively, leaving me with no choice but to paint it! This painting took me approximately 20 hours to complete.
Parc de Belleville, 2023
48” x 36” Oil on Canvas
While I was studying abroad, the Parc de Belleville was one of my favorite places to visit in Paris. Although the first time I visited the park was during the winter, as springtime approached, the trees and flowers began to flourish in vibrant color. Inspired by the beautiful memories I have of this place, I created this oil painting of one of the walkways deep within the park. This painting took me more than 150 hours to complete.
Shipwreck, 2021
30” x 40” Oil on Canvas
As a part of the Freedom of Speech exhibition hosted by the Blue House Too gallery in Allen, Texas, I created this piece revolving around the complexities of voicing one’s thoughts and opinions. The work itself is inspired by Shipwreck off Nantucket by William Bradford and took me about 100 hours to complete.
Dallas, 2020
42” x 72” Mural
I painted this mural during the initial waves of the COVID-19 pandemic when I had a lot of spare time at home. I created this piece in my parents’ house after weeks of convincing them that it would be a good idea to let me paint on their walls. The mural took approximately a month and a half to finish.
